Serves 2

Valentine's Day Grilled Beef Tenderloin Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ancho chili pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 beef tenderloin steaks (6 ounces each)

Valentine's Day Grilled Beef Tenderloin Directions

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients. Add the steaks, seal the bag, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
  2. Drain and discard the marinade. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°).
